Cyber Risk
Cyber risk: Italian companies are becoming increasingly aware of the risk, but mitigation actions are still lacking.
Italian companies show broad awareness of #cyber risk, yet remain unprepared when it comes to adopting risk mitigation plans, promoting internal training programs, and investing corporate budgets accordingly.
Still, the data shows that in 68% of cases the main vulnerability factor is human error, driven by insufficient training in recognizing risk situations.
Companies have by now developed a significant sensitivity toward cybersecurity, but there is still much work to be done to close the gap between the level of awareness and proactive action.
Unfortunately, 45% of companies perceive risk as something tied exclusively to IT systems, rather than as a strategic issue requiring broader management and intervention.
Only just over half (55%) have adopted an operational risk mitigation plan within their organization, and many businesses prefer to outsource the resolution of these problems externally.
